Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LangBistro ("the Service"), a Telegram-based language learning bot operated by LangBistro ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
LangBistro provides an AI-powered language learning experience via the Telegram messaging platform. The Service includes a free tier and a paid subscription tier with expanded features.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service, in line with Telegram's minimum age requirement. By using LangBistro, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old. If we discover that a user is under this age, we reserve the right to terminate their account.
3. Subscription Plans
LangBistro offers the following paid plans:
- Monthly subscription — billed every 30 days
- Annual subscription — billed once per year
Free tier users are subject to daily usage limits (10 text messages and 3 voice messages per day). Paid subscribers receive unlimited access to all features including full vocabulary tiers.
4. Payments and Billing
Payments are processed by Paddle, our third-party payment provider, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method. All prices are displayed in USD and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the /settings command in the bot. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
- Submit content that is abusive, threatening, or violates the rights of others
- Share your account access with other users
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules without refund.
7. Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us to request a refund may result in permanent account termination. Please contact us at lang.bistro.bot@gmail.com before disputing any charge.
8. AI-Generated Content
LangBistro uses artificial intelligence to generate language learning content and corrections. This content is for educational purposes only and may occasionally contain errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated responses.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and software comprising the Service are the property of LangBistro. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LangBistro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the bot. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
