We collect the following data when you use LangBistro:
- Telegram user ID, username, and language code (provided by Telegram)
- Messages and voice notes you send to the bot (used to generate AI responses)
- Your usage data (message counts, session activity)
- Your preferences (e.g. preferred word delivery time, timezone)
- Payment information (processed and stored by Paddle — we do not store card details)
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the language learning experience
- To enforce usage limits and subscription entitlements
- To deliver daily vocabulary and quiz content
- To detect and prevent abuse
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
3. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for the following purposes, each of which may process your data:
- AI language processing and voice generation
- Database storage (hosted in the United States)
- Payment processing (Merchant of Record)
- Application hosting (hosted in the United States)
Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Conversation messages are retained to provide context for the AI tutor. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at lang.bistro.bot@gmail.com.
5. Your Rights

6. Children
The Service is not directed at anyone under the age of 16, in line with Telegram's minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 16. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will terminate their account and delete their data.

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
